SINGER – SONGWRITER
For immediate release
Michael B. Campbell’s off-beat observations have been published in Reader’s Digest and Parent Magazine, and his “Dumpster” essays close every issue of Food & Spirits magazine. Of Mice and Me presents 70 new essays, many inspired by his popular humor blog and his coveted weekly email rants as owner of Mick’s Music & Bar.
Using astrology to help you vote. Kissing Jesus on the lips. Being a pall-bearer for a man he only met at the funeral. These concise, true stories are hilarious, when they aren’t heartbreaking.
Campbell has been a published writer for forty years. His previous book, Are You Going To Eat That?, was released in 2009, and he was recently named Humor Writer of the Month by the Erma Bombeck Writer’s Workshop at the University of Dayton, Ohio, where he is also often an essay contest judge.
Campbell is a songwriter too, having published four albums of original music. His latest, My Turn Now, came out in March 2015.
“Campbell’s essays are spit-out-your-coffee funny, leaving you wanting more.” —Jeff Koterba, Omaha World-Herald
